The Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program prepares students to
become skilled laboratory technologists who play a vital role in the
detection, diagnosis, and monitoring of diseases.
This course focuses on developing strong analytical skills, accuracy,
and hands-on experience in modern medical laboratories.
What the Course Covers
MLT students learn scientific testing and analysis of blood, body fluids,
tissues, and microorganisms using advanced laboratory techniques.
Core Laboratory Disciplines
- • Hematology – CBC, ESR, peripheral smear & blood cell analysis
- • Biochemistry – LFT, KFT, sugar tests & electrolyte analysis
- • Microbiology – Culture sensitivity, gram staining & organism identification
- • Pathology – Urine, stool, body fluids & semen analysis
- • Immunology – HIV, HBsAg, CRP, RA factor & other markers
- • Serology – Antigen–antibody reactions & diagnostic tests
- • Handling fully automated analyzers, microscopes & centrifuges
Practical Training & Internship
- • Training in hospital and diagnostic laboratories
- • Hands-on experience in routine and specialized diagnostic tests
- • Working under supervision of pathologists and lab professionals
- • Exposure to quality control and laboratory safety standards
